חינוך בסיסי, כתנאי ל- "השכלה גבוהה"

מאי 2010. בחיפושיי אחר ידע אמיתי בנושאי חינוך וחברה, הדפסתי את שני המאמרים הבאים:

Some Thoughts Concerning Education & An Essay Concerning Human Understanding

לאחרונה, ובלי כוונה, מצאתי את המאמרים הללו בערימת ניירת (אחת מיני רבות)... והתחלתי, שוב, לקורא בזה ולעיין.

Locke maintains that parents or teachers must first teach children HOW to learn and to enjoy learning. As he writes, the instructor "should remember that his business is not so much to teach [the child] all that is knowable, as to raise in him a love and esteem of knowledge; and to put him in the right way of knowing and improving himself".

Rather than sending boys to schools which would ignore their individual needs and teach them little of value, Locke argues that they should be taught at home as girls already were and "should learn useful and necessary crafts of the house and estate".

In Switzerland, Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, relying on Locke's theories, developed the concept of the "object lesson." These lessons focused pupils' attention on a particular thing and encouraged them to use all of their senses to explore it and urged them to use precise words to describe it... according to one of their practitioners "if well-managed, cultivate Sense-Perception, or Observation, accustom children to express their thoughts in words, increase their available stock of words and of ideas, and by thus storing material for thinking, also prepare the way for more difficult and advanced study.

רעיונות שצפו, שוב, ועלו במוחי:

- בנאדם משכיל, שאינו מחונך... זו סתירה!!!
- בנאדם משכיל חייב להיות אדם מחונך!
- מי שנותן תעודה או תואר לאדם שאינו מחונך, הוא פושע!

לא במקרה, באנגלית, זה אותו ביטוי/מושג:
מחונך, משכיל = Educated

עובדה מזעזעת היא, שכדי לקבל תואר, ולהיות בעל עדיפות לקבל עבודה מתגמלת יותר... לא צריך בהכרח להיות אדם מחונך ובעל ערכים; וכן העובדה שמי שהוא מחונך ובעל ערכים איננו מתוגמל על כך.
זהו מהלך ותופעה רעה ואנטי-חינוכית בעליל!

אפליה על רקע השכלתי היא עוול חברתי שאין כדוגמתו.

עובד חרוץ ופרודוקטיבי, שמקבל פחות משכורת, בגלל שאין לו ״השכלה גבוהה״ = עוול חברתי ומוסרי!

אולי, גם אפשר לומר... שאדם ״דתי״ שאינו מחונך, זו סתירה!!!
כיוון ש- ״דת״ היא היא מערכת חינוכית שכל מטרתה - הוראה, בין היתר, להתנהגות נכונה וראויה.

אי אפשר לצפות לתעשייה טובה ואיכותית ולחברה בריאה ומאוחדת, כשתנאי הסף, וכן התמורה, נמדדים על-פי "השכלה", ולא על-פי פרודוקטיביות וערכים!!

ישנו חוסר איזון משווע בהשקעת משאבים, בין חינוך לבגרות, תואר וקריירה... לבין חינוך חינוכי וערכי, ללא פשרות.
